Activation of Computer Account

Note:

  • SMU Account Activation may not work on MacBook
  • If SMU Account Activation does work, please do the following settings:

INTERNET EXPLORER:

Uncheck the Protected Mode.

1.     On your Internet Explorer click Tools Internet Options > click Security Tab
2.     On the Security tab, make sure to uncheck the Enable Protected Mode under Trusted sites and Restricted sites as shown below. 

Enable Display Mixed Content

1.     On your Internet Explorer click Tools Internet Options > click Security Tab
2.     On the Security tab click Custom Level button. Then click Enable under Display Mixed Content as shown below
3.     If it still doesn’t work, choose “Prompt” instead, then try to access the page again, at the bottom part, there will be a pop up asking if you would want to display mixed content, choose YES.

FIREFOX:

1.     Click the alert shield icon in the address bar.
2.     In the icon dialog box, click the menu button.
3.     Select Disable Protection on This Page.
4.     The site will reload
5.     Upon returning to the page or link in question, the content will now be visible.

GOOGLE CHROME:

1.     Click the alert shield icon in the address bar.
2.     In the icon dialog box, click Load anyway.
3.     The site will reload
4.     Upon returning to the page or link in question, the content will now be visible

 

Login to Applicant's Self Service (https://eservices.smu.edu.sg)
Navigation Path: Self Service > Online Matriculation > Activate SMU Computer Account
