SMU does not offer on-campus accommodation for exchange students. However, as the campus is situated in the heart of the city and easily accessible by public transportation, there are many housing options (e.g. private apartments, condominiums) outside of campus.
You may refer to 3. Accommodation Guide for an Alternative Housing Options list with discounted rates offered to SMU students and some useful tips for your housing search.
Notes:
- Read and understand Singapore’s government policies on short-term rental on Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) website. Airbnb is not a recommended option as residential properties in Singapore are not allowed to be used for short-term accommodation under the law.
- Prinsep Street Residences (PSR) are currently not open to exchange and visiting students.
- Kindly take note that housing arrangements are at the sole responsibility and discretion of the student. SMU does not act as a representative for either party in the event of disputes arising from the rental/lease of the property.
