Applying for Financial Assistance
If you wish to apply for financial assistance, applications will be open from 25 May to 13 July 2026.
From AY2026/27 onwards, SMU will be adopting the Household Means Eligibility System (HOMES) to streamline the financial assistance application process.
Once you have matriculated, you may log in to OASIS and navigate to the Bursary Application Form via the relevant Financial Assistance section.
You may first save your application as a draft. Please allow 2–3 working days for the HOMES household income data to be retrieved and reflected in the application form. Once the data has been populated, you may proceed to complete the remaining sections and submit your application.
After submitting the application, you and your family members will be required to provide consent via the SMU Consent Portal to facilitate the retrieval of household income data. Following the assessment of the household income information, eligible students will automatically be considered for government bursaries, donor-funded awards, and/or SMU Access Plus, where applicable.
Students are strongly encouraged to submit their applications early, as applications are processed on a rolling basis.
