The Code of Student Conduct serves to guide students’ conduct in both the academic and non-academic aspects of their University life by providing an overview of the behaviour generally expected of them as a member of the University community. It is mandatory for every student to read and acknowledge the document. Courses selection
Course load for international exchange students are Minimum 2.0 SMU credits/courses; Maximum: 4.0 SMU credits/courses and only undergraduate courses are offered to exchange and visiting students.
The final course list offered to ISEP/VSP students for AY2024-25 Spring term will be sent to students approximately two weeks before course enrolment. For planning purposes, students may refer to courses offered in the previous year (i.e. AY2023-24 Term 1) in the SMU course catalogue. However, not all courses will be offered again in the actual term. Therefore, the past course list is for your reference only.
You will be competing with other exchange students to bid for the courses that you wish to take. Hence, your course enrolment is not guaranteed and subject to SMU’s academic policies and guidelines, bidding results, course capacity and fulfilment of course pre-requisites, if any. Thus, we strongly recommend you seek pre-approval for as many courses as possible from your home university and have an alternative course plan.

OASIS (https://smu.sharepoint.com/sites/oasis) stands for On-Line Access to Student Information System and hosts various self-service services under different categories such as Academic, Finance & Admin, Campus Life & Exchange, Careers & Community Service. Only students who have matriculated and activated their SMU Computer Account can access OASIS.
You are strongly advised to log in to OASIS regularly so that you do not miss out on the important announcements and services throughout your study life.
