Pre-orientation Welcome & Networking Zoom session with Office of Postgraduate Professional Programmes (OPGPP), Student Success Centre (SSC), SMU International Connections (ICON) and PG student representatives

This Zoom session is to allow new students to learn more about living in Singapore, upcoming orientation activities and insights into the study life of Masters (postgraduate) students in SMU, i.e. tips on how to cope/balance the course demands while having a more holistic student life in SMU.

Li Ka Shing Library special tour activity with afternoon tea session

The tours are organized for students to learn more about the SMU library services through a gamification activity plus art tour in the Li Ka Shing Library.

Head Start and Networking Lunch 

Facilitated by the Student Success Centre (SSC), this self-discovery programme aims to empower PG students in identifying their values in their journey towards academic and personal success. It also provides participants with the opportunity to network and establish meaningful connections with their peers.

Campus Tours and Walking Tours around SMU

Join the tours with the SMU Student Ambassadors and local guides, to get familiarized with the SMU campus, and interesting places of interest in the nearby precincts.

Foundations of Effective Communication workshop

This workshop is conducted by the SMU Centre for English Communication (CEC), and will offer hands-on training in critical reading, clear writing, and fluent speaking, to equip students with the tools to extract, convey, and discuss complex ideas effectively. Students will learn techniques to adapt their communication styles to match the specific demands of different types of audience and context, so as to ensure their messages are always received with clarity and impact.

SMU PG Orientation briefings (on campus)

There will be a Welcome Address by SMU Associate Provost, Postgraduate Professional (PGP) Education, following with sharing sessions on the SMU resources and key services by various support offices.
