Freshmen who are accepted into the double degree programme are deemed to be provisionally enrolled. Provisionally enrolled students will be required to fulfill the stipulated double degree requirements by the end of their year 2, failing which they will be taken off the double degree programme. As such, it is important for you to plan your courses carefully and ensure that you have taken the required courses by the end of your year 2. For LLB double degree students on provisional enrollment, the review will be done at the end of their year 3.
The current double degree criteria (which all provisional enrolled students have to fulfill) are:-
1) A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.40; and
2) A minimum grade as follows for the prescribed courses:

Freshmen should also take note of the following policies surrounding the double degree programme:
- Double degree students who have satisfied the above criteria will still be required to maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00. If his cumulative GPA falls below 3.00, he may be required to withdraw from the double degree programme. To be awarded the double degree, the cumulative GPA of the student must be at least 3.00. If the cumulative GPA is just below 3.00, say 2.99, the double degree will not be awarded. Instead, the degree for the primary programme and a double major (if eligible) will be awarded.
- Double degree students must complete the requirements for both degrees before the degrees can be awarded to them. Students are not allowed to graduate from one of the degrees first and choose to graduate with the other degree in another time.
- Double degree students, if eligible for cum laude, will have the same class of cum laude (based on the single cumulative GPA) reflected on both degree scrolls.
- A student in any double degree programme who has taken additional courses under a Second Major will need to declare the Second Major under the primary degree. Double degree students should not take up a second major that would delay their graduation, especially beyond 4 years of undergraduate study.
- Changes are discouraged. Primary and secondary degree programmes may not be swapped; i.e., primary degree becomes the secondary degree and vice versa. Substituting a degree with another degree is subject to application and approval, and will be treated like an application for a transfer, and subject to all the conditions thereof. For students on scholarships, they may be liable to pay liquidated damages for changes to their programme of study; students should check the scholarship terms and conditions. - Double Degree students may drop a degree anytime. Double degree students applying to drop their first degree and retain the second degree as their only programme will be deemed as applying for programme transfer. Any such application will be subject to the programme transfer criteria and if approved, students will be liable for payment of the prevailing rate of tuition fee applicable to the new programme (National Servicemen will lose the fee privilege granted for admission to the previous programme).
